Privacy

Your privacy.

This site is a simple, informational website. It collects only what you choose to send through the contact form, and never sells or shares your information with third parties. Last updated June 2026.

What is collected.

The only personal information this site collects is what you voluntarily provide through the contact form: your name, your email address, and the message you write. If you email directly, your message and email address are received in the same way. No account is required, and no sensitive personal or health information is requested.

How it is used.

Your information is used for one purpose only: to read and respond to your inquiry about speaking, media, or research collaboration. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making, and you will not be added to any mailing list without your explicit request.

How it is stored.

Contact-form submissions are processed and stored by the site's hosting provider (Netlify) so they can be delivered as an email notification. Submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable record of correspondence, and are protected by the provider's standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS).

Sharing.

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use. It is handled only by Dr. Pikula and, as a technical necessity, the hosting provider that delivers the message. Information may be disclosed only if required by law.

Cookies & analytics.

This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking, and does not run behavioural analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your browser's IP address as part of serving those files. Links to external sites (such as HER PRISM™, Substack, LinkedIn, journals, and institutions) are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Your choices.

You can ask what information of yours is held, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted at any time. To make a request, email womensbrainmd@gmail.com and it will be actioned promptly.

Questions.

This practice operates in Ontario, Canada, and aims to handle personal information consistent with applicable privacy law (including Canada's PIPEDA). For any privacy question, contact womensbrainmd@gmail.com ↗.
